Edy Nathan

Edy Nathan MA, LCSWR is an author, public speaker and licensed therapist. She is an AASECT certified sex therapist, hypnotherapist and certified EMDR practitioner with more than 20 years of experience. Edy earned degrees from New York University and Fordham University, with post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy. She practices in New York City.

In her expertise as a grief therapist she interweaves her formal training as a psychotherapist with breathwork, guided imagery, ritual and storytelling. Trauma, abuse, and grief cause the soul to become imbalanced: The goal of the work is to find emotional calibration or balance to defy the depth of darkness and the grip grief often has on the psyche. She believes that everyone experiences grief throughout their lives. Grief is not just about the death of a loved one, but the losses we experience in life.

Grief is hard to talk about. Edy teaches you to dance with your grief, To know it as a way to know yourself. Whether it is the loss of a loved one or the loss of a limb or the loss of the life you once knew, it is your soul that offers the answers to relief. An essential element in her practice is to offer clients the chance to combine psychotherapy with a deeper, more spiritual understanding of the self. She is dedicated to helping people understand their grief, cope with the fear and struggle that holds them back, and learn to live fully.

Sarah Cart was raised and educated in New York and New England, and wrote for multiple local publications while she and her husband, Ben, raised four sons in northeastern Ohio.

Upon becoming empty nesters, the two moved to the Florida Keys, but they returned every summer to the Pennsylvania Poconos, where each had lifelong family connections. Then came COVID-19. The pandemic, combined with Ben’s health issues, necessitated their sheltering in place in Florida for the entirety of 2020. Elizabeth Kipp is a Stress Management and Historical Trauma Specialist who uses Trauma-Trained and Yoga-Informed Addiction Recovery Coaching, Ancestral Clearing, Compassionate Inquiry, and Yoga to help people with their healing. She is a best-selling Author of The Way Through Chronic Pain: Tools to Reclaim Your Healing Power who is in long-term recovery from chronic pain and concurrent addiction.

She specializes in helping people heal from chronic pain and offers workshops and individual sessions around the world to help them release the grip of chronic pain and addiction. Through natural alternatives to pain medication, and how to stop taking harmful pain drugs, Elizabeth Kipp has walked this journey and facilitates freedom from all who suffer from chronic pain.

Chronic is ANY pain – physical, emotional, or spiritual – that is felt for 15 days out of 30 for three months or more.  Chronic pain can be healed without addictive pain medications.

Bio:

Brian Hyman

I am a yoga and meditation teacher in the Los Angeles area. I have been sober since November 2009. I have been teaching yoga at a prominent treatment center in Malibu, CA since 2012. I have worked with thousands of clients at every stage of recovery. I recently created/published the 30-day audio course “Recovery: Principles for a Purposeful Life” on the top-rated meditation app/site Insight Timer. Over 1,600 students around the world have enrolled since the course launched in March 2020.
I have been interviewed for my extensive work with yoga, spirituality, and recovery by LA Voyage, Life by Me, Sivana, Origin, Mindful Yoga Health, Neon Tommy, and Malibu Times. My writing about yoga, recovery, and wellness has been published by Mantra Wellness, Whole Life Times, Insight Timer, and Yoga Digest. I am also a contributing author for the upcoming book “Inside the Warrior,” which details practice methods of notable male yoga teachers around the world. 
I have been a guest teacher, group facilitator, and featured speaker in and around Los Angeles at Cast Recovery, Riviera Recovery, The Canyon, 180 Center, Chabad, Sol Sanctuary, Soba Recovery, and Tarzana Treatment Center.
