Janet Young
My name is Janet Young. I have been conscious of the subtle and invisible realms of energy as long as I can remember. As a child I was a natural intuitive, empath and often saw and communicated with the dead. I had a childhood in the northwoods on a large farm. I was literally in the woods from sun up until sundown. This was my choice, I felt nurtured in the forest. The natural world is our foundation for life and a direct connection to Pure Creator Energy. As an adult I spent 5 years doing missionary work in the inner city of Chicago, had an intense NDE in my early 20’s and later graduated from the Dovestar Institute of Holistic Technology. My studies included meditation, body alchemia, Reiki, massage therapy, reflexology and more. While learning massage therapy I instantly began seeing Animal Spirit Totems in my client’s Chakras. I then took classes in Shamanic studies to gain understanding of the animal totems and began the practice of Shamanic journeys. I am also a certified Vipassana Meditation Teacher. As a massage therapist I have many advanced certifications including lymphatic drainage, prenatal massage, craniosacral therapy, hot stones, neuromuscular, sound healing, Shamanic Reiki, TCM acupressure, and more. I am mindful of the body, mind, spirit connection and often combine energy medicine modalities, meditation, and massage to achieve optimal results for my clients. Being certified in Sound Healing using Tuning Forks from the school of Acutonics and Soma Energetics, I have developed many ways to achieve Chakra balancing, both remotely and in person, creating harmony within my clients biofield. I have been a successful Reiki Master Teacher since 2008. I have seen many clients come to me with pain, ailments, and emotional energies that were stuck in their body or energy fields who found relief with my combined therapies. I have also enjoyed watching my Reiki students expand their skills, build confidence and receive all the gifts that becoming a Reiki practitioner brings! As a meditation teacher I have had many students who came to me believing that they could not meditate or could not achieve higher states of consciousness who leave my classes having achieved both. After working 20 years in the Healing Arts, combining Reiki with Shamanism and many other modes of psychic and energy healing with massage therapy, I would never compare one’s visionary healing work to anothers. Reiki is as deep as YOU are. Limitless. We are all an infinite source of the Divine within us.
